പുഴയിൽ വെള്ളമുയരുന്നത് കാണാനെത്തിയ ഏഴ് കുട്ടികൾ മുങ്ങിമരിച്ചു. രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ഭാരത് പൂർ ജില്ലയിലാണ് ദാരുണസംഭവം. ബയാനയിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോവുന്ന ബംഗാങ്ക നദിയിൽ വെള്ളമുയരുന്നത് കാണാനായി എത്തിയ കുട്ടികൾ കാലുതെന്നി പുഴയിലേക്ക് വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു.

ഗ്രാമീണർ ഉടൻ തന്നെ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തിയെങ്കിലും ഒരുമണിക്കൂറിനു ശേഷമാണ് ഒഴുക്കിൽപെട്ട കുട്ടികളെ കണ്ടെത്താനായത്. ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചപ്പോഴേക്കും കുട്ടികൾ മരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
